My Tribute to our Troops Pt.1
The difference between Flash vs. Quicktime is like watching an old VHS tape vs. a DVD.
AND this Flash is mono -- QT is stereo!
If you need QT, click on the link to the right on this page.
A few years ago our neighbors took us to a Navy & Marine Band concert. I was so impressed with my camcorder audio (we were way up in the balcony with the cam on my lap), I burned them a CD (he, a retired Navy guy, loved it). Then it struck me; I could make it more interesting by timing various segments of video to the music & so I did. It was quite labor intensive especially since they were moving away in 2 weeks----I completed the task 1 hour before they left!
If I had more time, I would have put in a lot more segments.
My Tribute to our Troops Pt.2
This takes a little longer to load than usual.
For those who know; you will notice Marine clothes & equipment being portrayed as Army.
I just don't have any modern Army videos-- a bit light on Air Force also---my apologies.
FYI the bridge in the background of the Coast Guard clip is a National Historic Landmark in Gold Beach, Oregon.
The announcer on the stage did not speak when his service song was played--that Marine just took one step away from his podium and stiffened to attention!

YOSEMITE NATIONAL PARK
Some views from the overlook near Glacier Point &
why there're no more Fire fall displays as told by an energetic
Ranger Dick Ewart.
Ya gotta love that thick New England accent even after 30 years!

FOOT STRUMMING GUITARIST @ Balboa Park
His name is Mark Goffeney, member of Big Toe Rocks Band. Been seen often at Balboa Park, San Diego. Met this man in the car museum 2 weeks later, we talked, laughed, just a super personality! Wish I had more & better video of him. YES- he was born without arms and walks like anyone else. Video shot in 1999 with a Cannon Hi8 and filled in with Sony Digital 8. Spent too much time on the palm reader waiting for a crowd to get out of the way.

#4 RED HEAD EXPRESS BRETT's low voice +
This has some stills about 25 sec. in and then audio duplication 1 second out of sync. I like their ending! See the Walker Family Story on Alaska TV.

#2 REDHEAD EXPRESS: santa
Usually I don't handle yodeling very well but, Alisa is so darn cute, has such a good voice, AND she's singing about Stanta Clause yodeling to his reindeer, well ... I got through it just fine!
#1 REDHEAD EXPRESS start roll'in
Met this family (the Walkers) in a southern Ca. campground---obviously I was impressed! They're from Alaska touring the USA in a fine RV and I wish them much success. I think they have big stage potential and someone will notice them and sign'em up! I have some more of them indoors, shot using my tripod----stay tuned. Ran graphics on the 2nd half because of some major camera bouncing. If you look closely, note how the beat of the music is displayed in the graphics.
Didgeridoo
One of the many entertainers at Balboa Park, San Diego. I asked "how do you take a breath without a break in the sound"? Lots of practice and proper breathing! A by stander asked to buy a CD because "(he) was a VERY disturbed person and wanted it for relaxation" (cracked me up!)

a BIG picture
Hi Sheryl CLICK ON THE PICS
This was our lame attempt to make it look like I was about to fall off the peak to certain death. My foot is up, arms outstretched to catch my balance & I'm on the way down.
